Visual Harmony

An exhibition by Pam Wildbore

Date: Dec 10 – Jan 20Space: Small Gallery

Music – An art form consisting of sequences of sounds in time, especially tones of definite pitch organised melodically, harmonically, rhythmically and according to tone colour.

Music is a huge part of Pams day when she is creating new work. She has used the audio medium to influence her newest visual creative process.

An abstract version of a musical note with variations, layered on itself using colour and placement to create an overall musically visual piece, a visual harmony.

“I am using resin, with varying drops of tints and pigment pastes, to paint colour onto my wooden boards. Using a layering technique, I let each layer cure before adding another layer. This is to keep the colour depth and it also adds varying physical depth for the resin to settle in to”.

Pam has experimented with even bolder and richer colours this time around, enticing fun and playful musical memories from carefree times.

Look out for the bold colour block pieces have gold oozing down the sides for some extra flamboyance! Pam’s work will be on in our Small Gallery from 10th of December until the 31st of December.

“I really hope you enjoy the bounce and frivolity of this exhibition. I have certainly listened to a lot of my playlists from my younger days while working on these!!”
