An exhibition of printmaking by the Hawke's Bay Inkers
Date: Nov 13 – Nov 27Space: Main Gallery
This exhibition will showcase a combination of Hawke’s Bay Inkers community group of printmakers work related to the theme of ‘Sanctuary’ in an urban environment, based on their visits to the Botanical Gardens, displayed alongside prints made by children attending workshops on Saturday 7 November.
Join the Inkers and participating children to celebrate the opening of the exhibition on Friday 13 November, 5-7pm. All welcome! Light refreshments will be served.
The aim of this project is to create a greater awareness of the natural and cultural significance of the Napier Botanical Gardens, and printmaking as a medium. The gardens and cemetery dates back to the 1850’s and have an interesting history related to the settlement of Napier/Ahuriri.
The exhibition, associated workshops and treasure hunt are generously supported by Napier City Creative Communities Scheme.
