Pirate Kai Puppet Shows
Two shows to choose from!
Date: Jan 28 – Jan 28Space: Workshop
This event has been cancelled due to the new Covid19 alert setting. All tickets are transferable to the show on Saturday 29 January at 10am or tickets can be fully refunded.
Actors Danny Priestly and Andy Brigden play siblings Kai and Noodles, who live on the mudflats. Kai is content to tend to his cabbages, cooking and cleaning but Noodles has other plans and her chance comes when a Pirate ship strays into the bay.
Noodles loves to dress up and pretend, in fact she is so good at imagining and pretending that she is mistaken for her Grandmother, Sal Magundi, the famous Pirate captain. The ship’s crew, Flint and Flash, portrayed by large adorable puppets, are desperate for some decent food as Sal was not only a fine Captain but a fine cook as well. The adventure has only just begun!
Audiences will be delighted with 45 minutes of story, puppetry and music with some interactive fun for the whole whanau – don’t forget to look out for the rabbit disguised as a parrot!!
Shows are at 10am or 12pm, with all ages welcome. As this performance is an event under the orange setting of the Covid Protection Framework, vaccine passes will need to be verified by the venue as you enter.
