Poetry Night: At the Ending of the Day
with Kevin Toolis
Date: Apr 2 – Apr 2Space: Main Gallery
Napier Poetry Night: At the Ending of the Day – the power of poetry in expressing loss and longing.
A gathering with visiting author and poet Kevin Toolis.
Kevin grew up on a remote Irish island where engaging with the dead and dying was a part of everyday life. A former warzone reporter, Kevin weaves together the philosophical and the practical, finding in the ancient rite of the Irish wake a roadmap for our most existential questions. The event will be facilitated by Erice Fairbrother, internationally published poet & founder of Napier Poets Corner.
