Share your own poems, hear original work from writers across Hawke’s Bay, or simply sit back and enjoy the evening—there’s no pressure to read.

Our gatherings are relaxed and conversational, with poets seated in a circle and often sharing stories, memories, and reflections inspired by the work being read. The poetry itself is wonderfully diverse, covering personal experiences, local history, current events, and everything in between. No two meetings are ever the same.

There is usually time to share more than one piece of work, and newcomers are always encouraged. Come along regularly or drop in whenever you can – every voice and every listener is valued.
