Roseanna Wohnsiedler was born in Gisborne, but now lives in Napier. She was involved in teaching traditional folk art and watercolour. Although mainly self taught, she attended a number of workshops with local and international tutors. Her main passion is painting icons but also enjoys painting in naïve styles, inspired by American naïve painting and antique items, often incorporating childhood memories. She has exhibited widely and her work is included in New Zealand and overseas collections.
