Moods

by Kim Cleverton

Date: Sep 1 – Oct 2Space: Under The Stairs

Kim wants to present a feeling of ‘moods’, so she’s kept her pieces simple for this exhibition. Each painting is fairly abstract and within a somewhat limited colour palette. She hopes they still convey her love of clouds; some peaceful, some dynamic.

Originally from Melbourne, Kim Cleverton moved to Napier in 1977. She can remember that in high school she wanted to be an art teacher, but life took over and she didn’t start painting until she retired in 2019. Kim is self-taught and works in acrylics in a semi abstract style.

Kim is predominantly focused on skies, which is what she’s known for, but also paints the occasional floral piece.

She’s had a number of local exhibitions and been fortunate enough to have been accepted into the Wellington and Auckland art shows.

Past exhibitions include:

Creative Arts Napier, ArtEx HB, Artfully Yours, Red Rock Gallery Taupo, Wellington Art Show, Auckland Art Show
