About … the exhibition
There’s something magical about taking a flat sheet of paper and transforming it into something three-dimensional. “Flowers by Kelly” explores this transformation through hand-crafted blooms that capture the delicate beauty of nature.
Each flower is formed through a process of cutting, stretching, colouring, shaping and layering. Petals gain dimension and movement. Leaves develop curves and character. What was once flat takes on depth, shadow, and presence.
The exhibition features seasonal flowers, potted plants and herbs, each one revealing the hidden potential within simple materials. The real showstoppers are a trio of oversized freestanding daisies – whimsical giants that invite you to see the familiar through fresh eyes.
Whether you’re curious about paper craft or simply drawn to the unexpected, this exhibition celebrates the possibilities that emerge when we look at ordinary materials with imagination.
About … the maker
“I established “Flowers by Kelly” in 2024 after a year of testing patterns, paper weights, and techniques learned from books and tutorials across multiple languages.
Intrigued by the puzzle of it: how do you coax something flat into something dimensional? How do you make paper behave like petals? The work is an ongoing experiment in material transformation.”
