For the Love of Lino

A group exhibition by ten aspiring printmakers.
For the love of Lino is a group exhibition by ten talented artists that meet every Thursday evening at CAN to take part in ‘Lino Club’.
The work on display is the result of their investigation into the concept of multi-block printing with lino – a technique where each layer of colour requires a separate carved block. Most of the work has been created during term 4, although many of the group have attended classes throughout terms 2 and 3.
While attending their sessions the group have formed strong friendships and developed a thriving passion for printmaking. They have experienced the highs and lows of working through challenges and frustration in order to achieve their desired result and have been rewarded with happy accidents along the way.
Printmaking is a medium that offers boundless possibilities, and endless scope for learning. This exhibition is a celebration of the group’s achievements, and an opportunity for them to share their success with family and friends.
The artists are; Erica Moffitt, Liz Walls, Robyn Fleet, Liezel Venter, Deb Strachan, Sharyn Phillips, Carolyn Neville, Natalie Lancaster, Shelley Hunter and Nicole Wall.
Please feel welcome to join the group to celebrate the opening of ‘For the Love of Lino’ on Friday 25 November, 5-7pm.
Lino Club is tutored by artist Lisa Feyen of Ink Moth Print Studio. If you are interested in joining a future class please email Lisa; feyens120@gmail.com.
