CAN is once again excited to welcome back the Hawke’s Bay Photographic Society with their annual exhibition opening in our Main Gallery from Friday, 14 April till 27 April.

The HBPS are pleased to be able to present a wide range of great photographs from members. This year we are also fortunate to include photos submitted by students from William Colenso College and it is great to see young people interested in this medium.

“Photography is non-destructive, environmentally friendly, offers exercise, enhances local knowledge and history, and can socially bring people of varying ethnicities and ages together. It is a great medium where families can do something creative together.
Over the years the club has become more dynamic, where we have numerous photo walks and workshop evenings, and engaging more with the younger generation. Our goal is to great enjoyment in taking photos and the engagement of people within our region.” Mark Davey ~ Treasurer & Events HBPS
