June Wayne

Date: May 13 – May 27Space: Main Gallery

Creative Arts Napier is proud to announce a major exhibition of modern artist, June Wayne, 13th  May to 1st June, 2023

Wayne’s technical innovation is matched only by her treatment of complex subject matter that was well ahead of its time. Including, optical perception, the helical structure of DNA, nuclear war, memory and identity. The most important examples are carefully curated in the exhibition for viewers to experience the technical sophistication in person, with over 40 of her most important graphic works on full display in the Main Gallery. The exhibition is the largest collection of Wayne’s works ever exhibited in the Southern Hemisphere and the most comprehensive display of her work worldwide in over a decade.

Join Curator Adrian Ormsby for in-gallery interactive discussions on Saturday 13th May at 12 noon and Saturday 27th May at 12 noon to help viewers and collectors appreciate the complexity, value and historical context of Wayne’s works.
