Façades to Frames: Napier in Art
Open invitational exhibition
Date: Feb 20 – Mar 12Space: Main Gallery
Step back in time and celebrate Napier’s iconic Art Deco charm!
Façades to Frames: Napier in Art is an open invitation exhibition calling local artists to showcase creative works inspired by our city’s world‑famous architectural heritage. Timed to coincide with the bustling 2026 Art Deco Festival, this two‑week exhibition will transform CAN’s Main Gallery into a vibrant celebration of bold geometric shapes, elegant facades, and bright colours.
Artists were invited to submit recent, architectural‑themed artworks (abstract or literal) that capture the essence of Napier’s stunning post-quake buildings and share their work with hundreds of visitors drawn to the Deco magic.
