“Exploring Napier City, New Zealand” is Cathay Wicks and her art club students second annual art exhibition showcasing their art for the year.

“This year’s themes for my student’s art include New Zealand birds, Art Deco City Napier, Vintage Cars, the deep sea, and more.  All of these themes are related in some way to the beautiful city Napier, New Zealand.  I hope that these artworks will allow you to see Napier through the eyes and art media of my students.

This exhibition also holds some of my favourite art pieces of New Zealand birds and Art Deco City Napier. Seeing the kid’s improvement in their art this year inspires me to continue my own journey in Art. I chose Napier as the overarching subject of my classes this year since the city and surroundings is where I have lived in the last seven years.” Cathay Wicks
