Embroidery 101 Workshop
Saturday Morning Workshop with Ngaio Blackwood

Learn the materials and processes to get started with the basics of embroidery, carefully guided by expert tutor Ngaio Blackwood.
A full embroidery kit will be available to purchase for $20 (payable in cash to the tutor) which will contain everything you need for the class, and to take home with you. Alternatively you can bring your own thread, fabric and needles to create a sampler.
This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners, adults or youth aged 13+

Pre-payment confirms your booking. You can pay online using your surname and EV2121 as reference, please ask for details.
Bring: If you wish to purchase a materials kit, bring $20 cash with you. Otherwise bring your own thread, fabric and needles to create a sampler. You might also need some loose change for parking and a gold coin for a cuppa!
About the artist:
Ngaio Blackwood started crafting as a teenager in Dunedin and has had multiple projects on the go ever since. She holds a bachelor in Fine Arts(Hons) majoring in painting and spends her time combining embroidery and paint in her sunny studio in Napier. When she’s not in her studio she works as a designer; managing websites, social media, and graphic design. She also reads a lot of books.
