Popping off the walls of the CAN workshop is a colourful and intricate collection of dot art by local artist Shane Bullivant.  On display throughout December, this collection inspires contemplation from many different views.  Affordably priced just in time for Christmas! December 9 – January 3 2023. 

Shane spent most of his life working as a traditional sign artist, it was during his spare time that he developed his visual art skills with many mediums that included; oil painting, watercolours, sketching and even screen printing.

In 2011 Shane moved to Western Australia where he sold his work through galleries and Exhibitions.  Returning to NZ in 2017, Shane now resides in Napier working as a full time artist.

“DotArt is something I’ve been developing over the last two years. Based loosely on pointillism (but using bigger dots) each dot is painted individually to form a contemporary image of subjects that include pictorials and abstracts”. Shane Bullivant
