Coastal Colour
Brilliant coastal scenes in acrylic
Date: Feb 4 – Feb 17Space: Small Gallery
In Coastal Colour Gina Guerin presents acrylic paintings depicting abstract scenes of the costal environment focusing on the brilliant, lively colours found there.
The aqua blue- green colour of the sea, brilliant purple and magenta bougainvillea, scarlet pohutakawa flowers and the acid green of coastal foliage- if you like bright colours you are going to love this exhibition!
Gina Guerin has always lived somewhere near the beach. Her work is inspired by all the colours of this environment from the bleached beige of the sand dunes to the stark white of yachts’ sails. This exhibition has a range of subjects that will excite the senses!
Gina uses mainly acrylic media and sometimes adds a layer of resin to make the colours glow.
View Gina’s work in the small gallery at CAN from Friday 4 February to Thursday 17 February.
