CAN are pleased to announce an exhibition extension! Chrissie Pearse’s gorgeous birds will now grace our foyer for an extra month

‘Birds of a Feather’ 1 March – 30 April 2023

Chrissie’s love of art began when she was a child, initially loving to colour in and then moving on to being more creative in drawing and painting, she has now has exhibited at Hastings Community Arts Gallery, Creative Arts Napier, Artex, Elsthorpe Artisans and the National Gallery of Fine Arts in Wellington.  Working for Te Whatu Ora as a community mental health nurse and understands the link between art and mindfulness and the benefits of art for good mental well-being.

This exhibition is based on Chrissie’s love of birds, especially the native birds of New Zealand.  Chrissie is inspired to paint what she sees around her on her beautiful native bush property and around NZ.
