Children’s CAN-Do Deco Art Exhibition

Experience the magic of Art Deco seen through young eyes, by visiting Creative Arts Napier and enjoying the very special CAN-Do Deco Art Exhibition. Feast your senses on a wide variety of exquisite Art Deco inspired artwork made by our talented young Hawke’s Bay artists, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, photography, and mixed media in three age categories.

Vote for your favourite piece and go into the draw to win a special Art Deco prize! Entry to the exhibition is by donation.

The official CAN-Do Deco Opening Celebration is on Friday 19 February at 4pm. The six ‘Best in Show’ winners will be chosen by judge Emily Armstrong from The Pencil Room. Winners will be announced, and their prizes presented during the opening celebrations. Dress in your Art Deco finery, enjoy light refreshments and entertainment. While you are here don’t forget to put a red dot on your favourite artwork!

Tickets are just $5 each and can be purchased prior to the event from the front desk at CAN. Entrants receive a complimentary ticket, and under 12’s are free.

As this is a child-friendly event, the refreshments supplied will be alcohol free.
