Nuit Blanche – Art After Dark is taking over Napier CBD for one magical night — and there’s plenty happening at CAN!
FOLLOW THE CREATIVE PATH TO CAN
Start on Hastings Street and follow our illuminated creative pathway to CAN. Along the way, you’ll find painted designs waiting to be brought to life with chalk. Colour as you go and help transform the pathway throughout the evening!
Perfect for kids, families and creative people of all ages.
SEE CAN IN A WHOLE NEW LIGHT
When you arrive, you’ll find CAN beautifully lit up for the night, with music outside and even more opportunities to get creative in our car park.
A MARTIN PARR FOTOFEST EXTRAVAGANZA
Step inside and immerse yourself in the wonderfully colourful, curious world of renowned British photographer Martin Parr.
Explore the Martin Parr: Small World exhibition in our Main Gallery, which will be transformed into a cosy pop-up movie theatre for the night.
I AM MARTIN PARR – DOCUMENTARY SCREENINGS
Think popcorn, bean bags and rows of chairs!
Our first screening of I Am Martin Parr begins at 5.30pm, with the documentary replaying throughout the evening.
Stay for the whole film or simply pop in for 10 or 20 minutes between your other Nuit Blanche adventures. Even a snippet is a fascinating glimpse into the life, humour and distinctive eye of one of Britain’s most celebrated photographers.
POPCORN • SNACKS • BAR
Grab some popcorn, settle into a bean bag and enjoy a breather from the excitement of the CBD. We’ll have snacks available and a bar for the grown-ups, while there’s still plenty to keep the kids entertained.
Whether you’re following the chalk trail, colouring, exploring the exhibition, catching a film or simply stopping in for a drink and some popcorn, CAN is your creative stop on Nuit Blanche night.
