Altered Paintbrush Project

Art Community Collective

Date: Sep 13 – Oct 2Space: Main Gallery

Young, emerging and practicing artists of all ages were invited to re imagine an old paint brush that had reached the end of its life – or so we thought!

The paint brush is an artists unsung hero and for three weeks in our main gallery we will be able to view what can be achieved by up-cycling and altering an old brush.

The student section is a judged art competition with prizes for different primary age groups, intermediate , secondary and polytechnic students.

An exhibition opening will be held on:

• Friday the 13th of September at Creative Arts Napier

• Between 5.00pm and 7.00pm

• Prize-giving starts at 5.30pm.

• Dress-Ups Welcome!

With funding from a Napier City Councils Community Services Grant, this exhibition has been made possible by Cherie Meerlo, a full time artist and art tutor.
