Adrienne Lopdell has always dabbled with arts and crafts, now in retirement she has challenged herself futher to see just what she can create, and the results are a beautiful, thoughtful framed mixed media collection for her debut exhibition here at CAN.  After completing a Certificate in Creativity through the Learning Connexion, Adrienne went on to explore different medium and processes.  This exhibition is about layering, layering and more layering!  Using different media and often in combinations, the pieces also involve “found objects” which add 3D and shadows to the art work.  Her work’s development is attributed to on-line courses with Tara Axford, Lorna Crane and more recently Shelley Rhodes, inspiring tutors Adrienne loves.  All works are available to view and purchase throughout December in our foyer.
