Local Hawkes Bay artist Jodi Ferris showcases a selection of her most current works consisting of water colour paintings and chalk pastel/charcoal drawings. This exhibition is a mixture of local scenery, portraits and animals, displaying her diverse range of skills.
Come and join Jodi to celebrate the opening of her exhibition on Friday 25th May, 5-7 pm. All welcome!
Born in New Zealand in 1978, Jodi always had a passion for anything creative.
Her back ground has included many facets. Fashion design, jewellery making, lead lighting, and photography to name a few. Over the past 10 years she has focused on mastering water colour, and is now expanding into charcoal and pastel drawings, specialising in landscapes, architecture, portraits and pets. Jodi has a passion for, and is inspired by her surroundings in Hawkes Bay, but has also been influenced by many places that she has traveled to, within New Zealand and overseas.
Some of Jodi’s achievement’s include:
• Foundation of Arts certificate (Manawatu Polytechnic)
• Fashion Design diploma (Wellingtion Polytechnic)
• Published artist in ‘International Contemporary Masters’ volume 5
You will see Jodi’s works displayed at the Artmosphere Gallery in Waipawa and in the Water Colour NZ annual ‘Splash’ exhibition in Wellington.
