Sarah is excited about passing on her knowledge and skills to all the participants of this workshop;
“I am inspired to take you on a journey to experience what it may feel like to have a Korowai in your presence.
A touch of our New Zealand Heritage, the Korowai is a unique part of our heritage, that was worn by leaders, those that stood at the head of our tribes, and those that had a powerful status…
Feel the therapeutic process that you go through from preparing your materials to working them…from the beginning to the finished product.
My inspiration comes from my mother in law who has since passed. Over the years she made many Korowai, a few years ago I asked if she could teach me. She said I’ll show you once! She did and I got it!! We started a Korowai class in Rotorua and it still runs today.”
The Masterclass series has been designed for our community to extend their skills, meet new people and learn new techniques in a relaxed atmosphere. Workshops are held in the well appointed CAN workshop area, with qualified and knowledgeable tutors.
