Like to book a space?

We have four flexible gallery spaces to choose from for your exhibition, event, workshop or meeting.

Our workshop area is ideal for evening classes or workshops. Learn something new or teach a class! We also offer conference areas for meetings or private functions.

Welcome to CAN!

Our mission is to enhance the creative spirit of Napier by providing accessible and affordable arts opportunities.
Entry is usually free, except when we are hosting a special national exhibition or event. The CAN is a registered charity, so donations are gratefully received in the donations box located in the foyer.

Volunteering at CAN
If you have an interest in the Arts and can offer some time during the week to support our services to the community, we would love to hear from you!
Our team of volunteers are vital to the operation of Creative Arts Napier, which is a registered charity. Our volunteers love being part of our team and working in the beautiful gallery spaces, greeting visitors and helping out with light duties. It’s a rewarding way to spend a few hours every week, and we value their contribution.
So, if this sounds like you please email manager@thecan.co.nz with your CV and a brief description of why you would like to become involved in Community Arts.
